This original formulation Yves Saint Laurent Y Parfum is the archetypal green chypre according to renowned critic Luca Turin. Turin notes the excellent quality of the raw materials, with a base of unrestricted pure oakmoss, natural sandalwood and civet. All these ingredients are now severely restricted and practically killed this class of mossy green chypre. As you can see the box is in great condition although it has yellowed with age. The juice itself is in remarkably good condition, it has been kept in the box so hasn't turned dark brown as oakmoss heavy fragrances tend to when exposed to the sun and no sediment has formed.
