Tom Ford Vert D'Encens EDP 50ml - Extremely. In pristine and perfect-functioning condition. Full Sprayed twice between 97-98%. Vert D'Encens is a piney, green giant. Upon initial spray, a dense woody pine bursts forth; the scent quickly dissipates. Hints of ambrosial, earthy resin and balmy gooey tree sap-exhibit. This accord of tree sap has a smooth ambery nuance-slightly jammy even. It has the clay-like moreish rawness of fresh cinnamon bark. From afar this sometimes morphs into a rhubarb like aroma. These notes intermingle into a soft cascade of resinous piney woodiness. This greenness is heightened by the note of fir, as if the tree itself were shrunk and put into this scent. As the scent develops, a light veil of incense wraps around the other notes. This boosts the earthy quality and adds hints of smokiness.

The smoke rears its head constantly, appearing and disappearing. This pairs with a light, fluffy heliotrope. It softens and blends with the smokiness, making the smoke harder to identify. The green, slightly vegetal note of Buxus or Boxwood envelops the overall scent. This is the same plant used for Box trees.

It has a tenacious botanical quality, with clean crisp grassiness. This acts as a glue connecting and melding each note together masterfully. The scent is intimate, radiating subtly close to the skin. Yet it has lasting power. This is a green scent done to perfection, mellow and calm, yet still bold and earthy. Inviting you in to sniff again and again. This is the gold standard of green scents. The above statement is subjective and is more of a personal and creative take which gives a small window into what a scent might smell like to everyone, other than that it's opinion based hence the speech marks and is from my point of view.

The scent is rare, sought after and very valuable. S of the time of this listings there are currently no other listings for Vert D'Encens. This is currently the only one, additionally it is the release from the first year it cam out, 2016, making this particular item that much special.
