This is a huge and extremely rare ammonite multiblock collected many years ago from the Frodingham Ironstone Quarry, Scunthorpe, UK and recently prepped by Stone Treasures. This specimen would grace any collection and because of its rarity and high quality, could even be displayed in a museum.

The ammonites from Scunthorpe are so unique and rare which makes finding 3 together in one block so special. The 3 ammonites have been carefully prepped and beautifully polished. They have great preservation which shows in the form of detailed sutures, calcite filled chambers and a variety of different colours throughout. The block consists of 3 ammonites of which there are 2 different species. 1 x Aegastoroceras Sp which is located in the middle of the block, is the smallest of the 3 ammonites and measures approx 8.5cm in dimateter.

2 x Eparitites Sp which are located on the left and the right of the block, the one on the left measures approx 12.3cm in diameter and the one on the right which is the largest of the 3 ammonites and measures approx 26.5cm in diameter. The block itself measures approx 53cm x 36cm and has a cut base, so it displays beautifully (recently came out of a personal collection). Due to the size, weight and value of this specimen, collection is preferred. This item is in the category "Collectables\Rocks, Fossils & Minerals\Fossils\Ammonites".
